Traill County Public Health Update 5-21-20

Hillsboro, ND -- Traill County had been relatively quiet on the COVID-19 front since the pandemic began. Up until last there wasn’t even an active in case in the county. But now as of Tuesday, there are 18 confirmed cases. The big spike came from a test of all the employees and residents of a long term care facility, where several people tested positive, according to Traill County Public Health Director Brenda Stallman, who joined KRJB on Wednesday during our Hillsboro Community Day Broadcast.
With businesses such as bars and restaurants in Traill County reopening over the past few weeks, Stallman commends them for sticking to the guidelines and thinking about the safety of their employees and customers.
And with graduation approaching this weekend, Stallman encourages anyone hosting gatherings or parties to keep a guestbook in case someone participating comes down with the coronavirus.
