Lake Park, MN -- The Lake Park-Audubon School Board held their regular monthly meeting on Monday night. At the meeting, the board approved a two-year teacher’s contract. Lake Park-Audubon Superintendent Dr. Paula Henry says it’s great to finally have that accomplished, but as they move forward they will try to get a head start on the next agreement.
The school board also approved a contract with Amanda Scanson of Brady Martz and Associates to handle the district’s finances. Superintendent Henry says this allows a trained financial professional to handle tricky Minnesota educational finances and the move will save the district money as well.
Dr. Henry also provided an update from the Long Term Planning Committee, who has been looking into potentially purchasing some adjacent property if they were to expand.
And at this week’s meeting, the Lake Park-Audubon School Board approved a number of new teaching hires and also a number of new coaches.
The board also approved the preliminary 2020-2021 school budget, approved Summer Day Camp Fees and workers, and approved 2020-2021 activity and food service fees.
