Lake Park, MN -- The Lake Park-Audubon School Board held their regular monthly meeting on Monday night. At the meeting, they had some preliminary discussions about the different options they may have when it comes to education during the COVID-19 pandemic this fall. Governor Walz is expected to make his decision today, but if he were to leave it up to the local districts, Lake Park-Audubon Superintendent Dr. Paula Henry hopes that they can bring all students back for at least a short time and then switch to a hybrid model.
The Lake Park-Audubon School Board also heard from ICS, their consulting firm assisting the district with their potential expansion plans, who provided an update from their planning committee, according to Dr. Henry.
And Superintendent Henry discussed the vision of the LPA district with the board. She notes that according to their student surveys, they’re doing a good job living up to it so far.
The Lake Park-Audubon School Board meets on the 4th Monday of the month, but they will likely have a special meeting next month to approve a pandemic plan.
