Hillsboro, ND -- This Tuesday, June 12th is election day for North Dakota voters. Not only is only it the primary election for state and legislative candidates but it’s also the general election for local city commission, school board, and county commission candidates. Following the election, the city of Hillsboro will have a new commission President and at least one new commissioner. Commission President Mark Forseth and Vice President Curt Kaufmann chose not to run for reelection this year and current commissioner Dave Sather will be running against Levi Reese and Justin Breidenbach for the two available seats. Running unopposed for Commission President is Terry Sando, who we spoke with recently during the Hillsboro Community News Program. Sando says he has a deep background in many different leadership roles.
If elected, Sando says some of his priorities will be to focus on continued development for housing, the local agricultural industry, and the downtown area.
Listen to the full interview with Terry Sando as well as commission candidates Justin Breidenbach and Levi Reese on our below. Incumbent Commissioner Dave Sather respectfully declined an interview.
