Fosston City Council September 10th, 2018 Meeting

At their September meeting, Fosston City Council approved a development agreement with MDV, Inc. MDV plans to put up an additional building on 10th street and move some of their production there. As Assistant City Administrator Cassie Heide notes the expansion will create 12 new jobs.


The Fosston City Council tabled consideration of a sale price for a lot in the Aspen addition to Midwest Minnesota Community Development Corporation. MMCDC plans to build a spec home on the lot.


Keith Kinnen with Karvakko Engineering worked with the city on a grant for TAP funding for the multi-use path. The city received $165,000. plus a 20 percent match from MnDOT, so they have $192,000. to construct a 10 foot multi-use path that will begin just past the Dairy Queen where the sidewalk ends and extend to Lepiers Lodge on Amber Avenue.


Fosston City Council will have a special meeting on September 24th, 2018 at 7:00 pm to review the 2019 General Fund Budget and consider approval of the Preliminary Budget and Tax Levy.
