Ada, MN -- The Ada City Council held their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, February 5th at council chambers. At the meeting, the council received an update on the progress of the Ada Liquor Store renovation. As it sits right now, the renovation is nearly complete. Ada City Administrator Ben Burgener says the public should anticipate a Grand Opening within a few weeks.
Also at the meeting, the council approved a new cleaning contract with the DAC. Administrator Burgener says their current contract was set to expire this month and they needed to make some adjustments to the deal.
And the Ada City Council is taking steps towards going green. The council tested out using a tablet at the meeting versus printing out the full agenda packet. Burgener says each council member will now get their own tablet, which will address the paper waste as well as security issues.
Also at this week’s meeting, the Ada City council approved a nomination of Todd Sawrey to serve on the Northwest Regional Development Commission, approved a bid of $7,000 for the Ada Fire Department’s old 6x6 Polaris Ranger and trailer, and held a closed session for performance review of the City Administrator.
