Fertile Public Works to Delay Driveway Clean Up

Fertile, MN -- The City of Fertile, like most cities across the region, is falling behind on the snow removal process as its seems like there’s been a major snow event about every week or sometimes two in a week. However, what sets the City of Fertile apart from most local public works departments is that they also remove snow from resident’s driveways, a process that adds hours to the clean up. But with another major storm hitting the area today, Fertile City Administrator Lisa Liden tells residents that if they want the snow piles at the end of their driveway removed, they may have to wait awhile as it will be the last thing they do in the snow removal process.
Liden encourages homeowners, who have the ability to take care of the snow piles themselves, to do that if possible, as it would be of great assistance to the public works crew who have spent countless hours moving snow this winter.
We’ll have more from this week’s Fertile City Council meeting in future stories.
