Fertile, MN -- The Fertile City Council held their regular monthly meeting on Monday night. The council approved going forward some curb and gutter projects. Fertile City Administrator Lisa Liden says they wanted to do it now with construction crews already in town.
And with asphalt crews going to be in town as well, Administrator Liden says the council will also be looking to repave a couple others streets also.
Liden adds the construction work going on in town is going well, and shouldn’t effect this week’s Polk County Fair.
And the Sand Hill Watershed had recently inquired with the city of Fertile about purchasing some land for a new office, but Liden says after backlash from the community they have opted to go another route.
The Fertile City Council also approved a street closure for County EMS, which is hosting an open house and pancake breakfast fundraiser this Sunday morning.
