4-H Helping Grow Students Into Leaders

Ada, MN -- This week is National 4-H Week, a week set aside to recognize current and former 4-H members and encourage others to be a part of the great organization. The mission of 4-H, which stands for Head, Heart, Hands, and Health, is to engage youth to reach their fullest potential while advancing the field of youth development. Danniel Jossund, Norman County 4-H President, has been active in his local 4-H since he was kindergarten. He says being involved in 4-H has helped him grow and excel throughout his life.
Jossund says his favorite part of being involved in 4-H is getting to meet new people and show off his hard work at the county and state fairs.
One of the most common stereotypes of 4-H is that it revolves around agriculture. While that’s part of it, Jossund says there’s many project areas for you to explore and become proficient in.
