When a person does an exhausting work-out they can usually reward themselves with a good meal afterwards. That is exactly what you can do on Thanksgiving Day before you fill your stomach full of turkey and mashed potatoes by participating in the Turkey Trot Challenge in Fosston. No, you won’t be running through the city of Fosston with turkeys. The Fosston-Lengby Lions Club is asking you to be active for at least 30 minutes straight on Thanksgiving and Lions Members Tammie Rue and Ruth Fonder told us about the prizes you can win that day by participating.
The Lions Club has always been an advocate in helping people who have diabetes and managing diabetes so an even like this one that promotes healthy habits and exercise is always a plus for the Lions Club. The Turkey Trot begins and 6:30 a.m. but you don’t need to start at that time in order to be entered for a chance to win prizes and you don’t even need to live in Fosston to participate.
Meet at Caribou Coffee in Fosston at 6:30 a.m. Thanksgiving morning if you plan on participating at that time. If not, you can always do your exercising on your own time and share what you did with the Fosston-Lengby Lions Club Facebook page and you’ll be entered in to win some prizes.
