Ada-Borup School Board Explores Classroom Expansion Options

Ada, MN -- The Ada-Borup School Board made progress at their monthly board meeting Tuesday morning towards finding a solution for next year’s expected enrollment increase. Now that tuition agreement is final with Norman County West, Ada-Borup Superintendent Dr. Shawn Yates says the board is looking to into whether or not to add on to the building or use modular classrooms instead.
The Ada-Borup School Board will have a special meeting on February 23rd to continue the facility talks. And although no decision has been made yet, Superintendent Yates says adding on to the building may actually be more cost efficient then the modular classroom option.
And the board approved the hiring of two new staff members, both of which come from the Norman County West School. Yates says Nate McCraven and Taylor Johnson will join Ada-Borup in the fall of 2018.
