GF Central 6 at Hillsboro-Central Valley (H) 16
final in 5 innings

In their home opener, the Hillsboro Central Valley Burros were able to find their momentum as the game progressed and pick up the 16-6 victory over the Grand Forks Central Knights. Both teams found early success on the offense side of the ball, with both teams scoring at least one run in each of the first three innings. Grand Forks Central would pick up their six runs on eight hits over the first three innings, before they were held to one more hit over the final two innings. Meanwhile Hillsboro Central Valley would take the lead off seven free passes and a couple Knight errors to score their first eight runs while only managing a single hit. The bats then started to come around as they scored the next eight runs on eight hits with the final being a walk off two RBI Triple that forced the game into the 10-Run Rule.
